NEW!!!! Artisan Markets! August 10th, September 7th and October 5th

Join us on August 10th and September 7th from 4-7pm and on October 5th from 4-6pm as we add an Artisan Market to our farmers' market.   Current, former and new crafters are invited to participate as we focus on the many fine craftsmen and women in the Ohio Valley! Contact us for details if you wish to participate as a vendor.

Christmas in September September 7th

Get an early start on your Christmas shopping at our Christmas in September event!  Our crafters and other sellers will be getting creative and offering you the best of the Ohio Valley for your shopping pleasure.  This event is one of three Artisan Markets planned for 2010.

The OVFM promotes buying and eating locally. Join us for cooking demonstrations, live music, and many other activities.

The BIG GREEN Event! August 7th

The OVFM is going green! Well, we've been green. All the way from organic fruits and veggies, to promoting local eating, to re-usable tote bags. Come celebrate the way many of us live every day! Special guests and activities include: Duh Duh and Dum Dum the clowns* (9:30-11:30); Butterflies from Heather with walk-in butterfly tent*; Chef Gene with a cooking demo and displays on the WVNCC culinary garden and rain barrels; Diane Conroy of At the Cooky Jar with a recipe from Chef Emeril's new cookbook Farm to Fork; E-a-poo's with cloth diapers and more; Carrot Cake Bake-Off (Make a great carrot cake? Bring it to the market by 8:45am for a chance to be crowned king of the carrot cakes-cake must be made from scratch using freshly grated carrots. The shoppers get to be the judges!); Live Bluegrass music with Nicholas Bogosian*; Market Basket Give-Aways at 10:00, 11:00 and noon); chances to win market gift certificates-bring us your favorite going green tip and if we use it you'll receive a $5 market gift certificate; Ohio Valley Riverfront Development Heritage Recreational Trail display; fun, green kid's craft and more...*Activities are free and are sponsored by Belmont Savings Bank.

In collaboration with the village of Bellaire, the OVFM offers pumpkin decorating and extended hours.

Trick or Treat at the Market October 30th
Join us at the final Saturday market of the season on October 30th as we offer the kids a chance to Trick or Treat with us. You may even find the vendors in costume!
